In the first couple weeks of school, we will be looking at 2 main skills.
1) How to cite strong and thorough textual evidence from a source - either an informational article or a story.
2) Learning to cite evidence correctly will strengthen your ability to analyze the central idea and details of an author's claim, either explicitly (word for word) or by making an inference (drawing a conclusion) from what is quoted.
